The Central Coast Adventist School Learning Resource Centre aims to ensure that all students have the skills and opportunity to access, evaluate and use information. The library program strives to enable all students to be effective researchers and responsible users of ideas and information from all available formats. An on-going goal and hope is that all students will be well-informed problem solvers and lifelong readers.
The Learning Resource Centre program collaborates with other stake-holders to promote critical thinking skills and strategies for students to become active and independent learners.
Primary students attend 30-40 minute library classes each week learning skills such as literacy, research methods, information literacy, online evaluation, bibliographic data plus much more. These skills are essential to our students to ensure they become lifelong 21st Century learners with a broad range of skills. Our program is designed to support the Central Coast Adventist School and National curriculums.
