Welcome!

It is great to welcome everyone to 2026. I trust that you and your family have enjoyed a safe and enjoyable summer break and are feeling refreshed and ready for the year ahead.

We look forward to a great year ahead and are glad you are part of the CCAS community. We particularly want to welcome new families joining the CCAS community for the first time - it is great to have you as part of our school community.

I want to take this opportunity to firstly share some updates on staffing for the 2026 school year. Of most significance is a change in our Leadership Team. Mrs Tracey Bennetts, our previous Head of Secondary, has made the difficult decision due to family circumstances, to step down from her role. This brings to a close a long and distinguished contribution to the CCAS community and we want to take this opportunity to thank Tracey for all that she has contributed to our school, and wish her well as she embarks on the next chapter in her life.

In light of this I am pleased to announce that Mr Andrew Robartson has been appointed as Acting Head of Secondary for the commencement of the 2026 school year, enabling a more comprehensive recruitment process for this important Leadership role at CCAS. Andrew is an experienced educator who has been part of our Secondary Teaching team for the past 20+ years and more recently joined the Middle Leadership team co-ordinating our Deep Learning Journey Initiative across K-12.

In addition to this we also welcome some new staff to our teaching team this year including:

  • Annaliese Cains - Secondary Science
  • Samuel Morris - Secondary Visual Arts
  • Shona Bolst - Primary Chaplain
  • Julia Heise - K-12 Inclusive Education Coordinator (taking over from Mrs Gaye Menzies)

    Finally, we are on track to open our New Kindergarten classrooms for the school year following a refurbishment of the previous Library building and I am sure our new Kindy students will enjoy these exciting new learning environments.

        Fee Accounts
        Families will receive their school fee statements via email by this Friday 23 January. These will also be viewable via your SEQTA Portal under FINANCE.

        All existing Direct Debit payment plans have now been transitioned to Stripe and are visible through your SEQTA Portal. Families may update their bank details at any time.

        New families will be provided with SEQTA login details by their respective campuses.

        For 2026, ALL families are required to select their preferred fee payment option via the SEQTA Portal. To ensure payments are processed on time, please submit your selection no later than Wednesday, 28 January.

        2026 Payment Options:


        Option A - Annual

        Full year fees due Friday, 20 February

        Option B - Term

        Term 1 fees due Friday, 13 February
        (Subsequent term due dates will apply as invoiced)

        Option C - Direct Debit

        Weekly, fortnightly, or monthly payments to be made via Direct Debit, based on your nominated details.


        Stationery Lists

        The majority of what students need will be supplied by the school. Please check the Stationery Lists for any additional items required.

        Extended Leave

        If students will not be attending school for more than five consecutive days for family reasons, we are required by law to have an extended leave form completed and signed off by the School Principal.

        Updating Contact Details

        The school uses Consent2Go to update contact details, including medical information, dietary requirements, addresses and phone numbers. Accurate and up-to-date information is essential for student safety, especially during excursions and camps. Please keep an eye out for the emailed update requests from Consent2Go sent throughout the school year. 

        Each guardian will receive a link in the coming days to review and update their details. Please ensure both/all guardians on file update this to ensure we have all current and correct information.

        Medical information

        Please note:

        • If your child has any medical issues, including anaphylaxis, please ensure that the school has the current information, including medications. This information can be updated via the Consent2Go.
        • If your child has asthma (even on an irregular basis), please ensure they have an asthma inhaler in their school bag at all times, including on excursions and at carnivals.
        • If your child suffers from anaphylaxis, please supply the school with a current Medical Action Plan and an EpiPen.

        SEQTA Portal

        SEQTA is the Learning Management System used at CCAS. This online portal allows parents and students to access all relevant information about their schooling, such as:

        • Attendance and online absence notifications
        • Achievements for tests/assessments and feedback
        • Archive of past and current reports
        • Access to important school and subject documents
        • General information about what your child is doing on a daily basis (eg. Geometry/Angles in Mathematics)
        • Homework that has been set by each subject
        • The issue and submission of assignments
        • Wellbeing and Pastoral Care information
        • Finance Portal (access to account balance information, transaction history, and current account statements online)
        • SEQTA is accessed via an internet browser or app and requires a login.

        New parents will receive an email by the end of the week with instructions regarding login details and how to access the portal. This is the same login parents use access to their School Fee Accounts.

        Continuing parents can use the same login details from 2025, which will remain valid into 2026.

        Student Handbooks

        Student handbooks are available for all Primary and High School students which contain essential information to help your child/ren thrive in our school community. We encourage you to refer to this via SEQTA in the "Documents" area.

        Canteen

        At CCAS we use the Munch Monitor online system for all lunch orders. Families will need to set up an account to use this service.

        To set up your account:

        1. Go to www.munchmonitor.com

          2. Click Register

          2. Password: munch2250
        3. Click Submit
        4. Enter your email address
        5. Enter a personal password. Make sure you can remember your password.
        6. Review and agree to the Terms of Use

        IMPORTANT: Continuing parents need to update students' classrooms to reactivate their accounts to be able to order.

        NEW For 2026: The munch monitor system has been upgraded and parents will now be able to load funds onto a students’ ID Card via their account for use at the canteen. (Student ID cards are provided to all students).

        Please note that changes to our Mobile Phone Policy require students to bring cash or a physical card when purchasing from the canteen. Students can no longer use mobile phones for this purpose.


        Lunch Orders

        The deadline for all lunch orders is 8:30 am.  Emergency lunches will need to be organised via Primary/Secondary reception.

        Photo sharing and management portal - Pixevety 

        CCAS uses Pixevety to safely manage and share our photo collection with our entire school community, and to manage image consent/permission.

        We ask parents to review and update their children's image consent at the beginning of each school year. We rely on this information when publishing images of school activities in newsletters and social media.

        For returning parents, your login remains the same as last year. For new parents, please access the portal here to register and complete your child/ren’s consent/permissions.

        Business Directory

        At CCAS, we have an online Business Directory that lists school families (past and present) and previous students who own a business or are service providers. Please have a look at the diverse range of businesses represented in our community. We hope that this initiative can facilitate connections in our school community.

        School Uniform

        Please be sure to check the uniform requirements and Uniform Policy as posted on the school website. We appreciate your support in providing the correct uniform for your child. The Uniform Shop hours are listed on the website.

        Please take specific note of the following: 

        School Shoes

        Black, heeled, polishable, leather school dress shoes (laces only for Y3-12). Kindergarten students wear sports shoes.

        Please note that street shoes/skate shoes (e.g. volleys, DC's, Converse, Nike, Doc Marten style boots, canvas, etc.) and casual dress shoes (e.g. slip-on, ballerina shoes) are not part of the uniform.

        Sport Shoes

        Sport shoes should be designed for sport and fitness wear (runners, cross-trainers, etc),  and may be in any colour combination. 

        Skirt /dress length

        Hem length guide for all girls is at the top of the kneecap.

        Socks

        All students must wear the school monogrammed socks for both formal and sports uniforms - navy blue for boys and white for girls.

        Hair

        Students are required to attend school on the first day with compliant hairstyles. Hair colouring, if used, is to be natural in appearance. Girls may wear hair ties, ribbons, headbands and clips, which are blue or white only. Boys’ hair is to be neat, tidy, and must not hang over the face. Long hair (past the collar) should be neatly tied in a bun. Extreme styles, such as rat’s tail, mullets, etc, are not permitted.

        Jewellery

        As a general rule, jewellery is not allowed except for a sensible watch and one small, round gold or silver stud per ear lobe. No other piercings are allowed.

        If students are having their ears pierced, this must be done during the long Christmas holiday to allow healing. Temporary piercing studs or non-compliant earrings are not permitted, even during the healing period.

        Nail polish

        No nail polish is allowed. If your child wears it on the weekend, please ensure they remove it before returning to school.

        Hats

        This applies all year for Primary students and in Terms 1 & 4 for Secondary students.

        The school's Sun Smart Policy requires students to wear a labelled school hat for lunch, recess, PE and sport. No other types of caps or hats are permitted at school or on excursions. Children who do not have a hat at school will spend their playtime in the shaded eating area.

        We ask families to comply with uniform requirements in much the same way as in the workplace. This avoids unnecessary confrontations with staff or administration on uniform matters. Parental support is appreciated.

        Campus Access

        Please Note: Pre-Kindy families will receive information from Mrs Macpherson separately regarding Pick-up and Drop-off.

        Gate Access:


        Drop-off: Gates are open until 8:45 AM.
        Pick-up: Gates reopen from 2:30 PM.
        Outside of these times, access to the school is only available via Main Admin/Reception, located on the ground floor of The Learning Hub.

        Parent Access to the Campus After Gates Are Closed:


        If you need to enter the school after the gates are closed—for example, to accompany your child to Primary Reception, attend a meeting, pick up your child early, or drop something off—please enter through Main Admin/Reception (access from Penrose Crescent) and sign in upon arrival.

        Students' Late Arrivals:

        Students arriving after the gates have closed:

        Primary students
        should enter via Main Admin/Reception and check in at Primary Reception.

        Secondary students
        should also enter through Main Admin/Reception, check in there, and proceed directly to class (no need to visit Secondary Reception).

        Primary Campus

        Meet & Greet - Tuesday, 27 January

        Please note: Class placements and teacher information for Primary students will be sent on Friday, 23 January.

        Students will have the opportunity to meet their teacher, visit their classroom and pick up some classroom supplies on Tuesday afternoon, prior to the commencement of classes. Students and parents are welcome to visit between 12 and 1pm for K-Y6 or 12 and 2pm for Pre-Kindy on Tuesday, January 27. Students don't need to wear the school uniform for the meet & greet.

        Class placements are created through a careful and considered process, drawing on the professional knowledge of teachers and school leaders. A wide range of factors is taken into account to ensure balanced classes and positive learning environments for all students.

        We respectfully ask that families trust and support the school's decisions regarding class placements. Due to the complexity of class structures, staffing, and student needs across the school, requests for changes to class placements or teacher allocations cannot be accommodated.

        Parent Information Evening


        This year's Parent Information Evenings are scheduled for Tuesday, February 3. These sessions provide a chance to meet with the class teachers and gain insights into the upcoming year. Further details of times will be communicated shortly.

        In Week 4, parents will have the opportunity to meet with the classroom teachers individually to discuss their children.

        Daily Routine


        Below is a schedule of how the Primary School day operates:

        • 8:00 am | Student playground supervision begins
        • 8:35 am | First bell rings to get ready for class
        • 10:40 am | Recess
        • 12:30 pm | Lunch
        • 2:45 pm | Classes finish
        Drop Off and Pick Up

        From the second week of Term 1, once new students have settled into school, to encourage the children’s independence and maximise learning time, we ask that you farewell your child at the picnic table area (by the playgrounds) in the morning before 8:35 am (first bell), and allow your child to make their own way to the verandah for the class to line up by 8:40 am (second bell). This allows teachers to quickly organise and settle students into their routines for the day.

        If your child is experiencing ongoing difficulty saying goodbye, please see your child’s teacher or Primary Administration for support.

        When picking your children up in the afternoons, please meet your child/ren at the picnic tables or another designated place near the playground. Please do not meet on the verandahs.

        Supervision Before & After School

        In the morning, teachers start playground supervision at 8:00 am - until then, the campus is unsupervised. Please do not drop your children at school before this time. The school offers OSHC (Out of School Hours Care), a supervised program you can book students into.

        After school, the Kiss & Drop zones (Top and Bottom) are supervised until 3:30 pm. Any children left after this time without a high school sibling to watch them will be taken to OSHC (Outside School Hours Care - located in the Pre-Kindy rooms).

        The Entrance Road and Erina Fair Bus stops are supervised by school staff until 3:45 pm.

        The Primary Playground is not a school-supervised area after 2:45 pm. Parents or guardians must actively supervise students on the playground after school.

        If you are on campus after school, meeting with teachers, for your child’s safety, please ensure they are not playing unsupervised on the school campus.

        Kiss & Drop Car Visor Name Signs

        The Family car visor labels used at Kiss & Drop aid the speed and efficiency of the pickup process and reduce traffic congestion around the school. New school families will receive labels to place on their car's dashboard when picking up students at Kiss & Drop. Parents needing a replacement label or an extra one (for grandparents, etc.) please contact primaryreception@ccas.nsw.edu.au.

        Late Arrival & Early Departure Procedures

        Students arriving after 8:45 am must first go to the Primary Reception/Admin to collect a late pass. Between 8:35 and 8:45 am, students can go directly to their classroom. This will ensure they are not marked absent for the day.

        Students leaving school early will wait in the Primary Reception/Admin to be collected and signed out by a parent or authorised guardian. 

        Mobile Phones & Other Technology

        Older students are permitted to bring a phone to and from school if required, but they must not use it at school during school hours. The phone must remain in their school bag or be given to the class teacher for safekeeping. Any child needing to contact their parent during the day must go to the Primary Administration Office. Students should not use mobile phones or smartwatches for calls or texting during the day.

        Also, just a reminder that we do not allow technology, including mobile phones, iPads, tablets, and other such devices, to be taken on day or overnight excursions in the Primary School.

        Secondary Campus

        Year 7 Collect & Chat - Tuesday, 27 January
        • Year 7 students will meet in the Secondary School Quadrangle areas to collect stationary packs, timetables and locker numbers from midday to 1 pm on Tuesday, 27 January. Students are asked not to put anything in their lockers on this day.
        • They will also be able to meet their Wellbeing and Academic Leaders.

        Note: Students who cannot attend on this day will receive this information on Wednesday, 28 January.

        First Day of School
        • Students may arrive any time from 8:00 am onwards, and staff will be waiting to greet them.  
        • Enter the school via the main pedestrian entrance at the front of the school off Penrose Crescent.
        • Year 7 students will find their Wellbeing and Academic leaders at the front of the Secondary School if they need assistance.
        • Most Year 7 students will have received their stationery, textbooks, timetables and locker numbers on the day prior. On arrival on Wednesday, students should put their bags into their lockers, and they will be supplied with a lock and a demonstration of how it works.
        • Year 7 students will go to the hall at 8:35 am.
        • Year 8-12 students should look for signs indicating where to collect their timetables and locker numbers as they enter the school grounds.
        • Year 11 students will collect textbooks on their first school day - Wednesday, 28 January.
        • Year 8 - 10 students will collect textbooks on their first day of school - Thursday, 29 January.

        NOTE: Textbook collection will happen during regular class time. Most textbooks available online through BOX of BOOKS (access will be provided to students).

        Secondary Timetable

        Here is a summary of a typical day/week in the Secondary school.

        • We have a two-week timetable cycle called WEEK A and WEEK B
        • We have a 5-period day.
        • Classes will be 65 minutes long (this includes the transition from one period to the next)
        • Bell times are listed below.
        • All students will go to period 1 and receive announcements for the day; Teachers will pray with the students to begin the day.
        • Chapels are on Tuesday mornings and will go for approximately 45 minutes. The remainder of the period will be allocated to Pastoral Care (Tune in Tuesday) with an allocated staff member. It will be a time for an online assembly, CCAS values unpack, EI pulse wellbeing check-ins, and Student Leadership information sharing.
          • Year 7 - 9 chapel in period 1
          • Year 10-12 chapel in period 2

          Bell Times

          • 08:30 - Notification - 5 mins until Period 1 starts
          • 08:35 - 09:40 am | Period 1 |  65 minutes
          • 09:40 - 10:45 am | Period 2 |  65 minutes
          • 10:45 - 11:05 am  | Recess | 20 minutes
          • 11:05 am - 12:10 pm | Period 3 | 65 minutes
          • 12:10 - 1:15 pm | Period 4 | 65 minutes
          • 1:15 - 1:55 pm | Lunch | 40 minutes
          • 1:50 - Notification - 5 mins until Period 5 starts
          • 1:55 - 3:00 pm | Period 5 | 65 minutes
          BYOD (Bring Your Own Device)

          Students are required to have their own laptops as per our BYOD policy. The requirements are listed in the BYOD document on the school website. 

          The device must be labelled with your child’s name. Please ensure the device is fully charged and ready for the first day at school. We will endeavour to get all students onto the school network ASAP. Students will be given a CCAS email address and will need to ensure that they have access to SEQTA throughout the year. A responsible use policy will be sent to each student to sign and return to be able to maintain their access to CCAS internet.

          A reminder that the school does not cover any damage to laptops or loss of laptops, and we encourage you to purchase your own insurance for these portable devices.

          Lockers

          Lockers will be issued alphabetically across the whole year level. There are no specific areas or locker rooms for boys or girls only.

          All students are issued a locker to secure their belongings. Year 7 students will be provided with a lock that has a master key, which we will keep in the Secondary Admin office to unlock the locks if needed. Year 8 students should use the lock that they were provided with last year. All other students bring a sturdy lock for their locker on their first day.  

          Not all lockers are enclosed in rooms that can be locked overnight or over the weekends. We require ALL lockers to have a lock this year as students are now required to turn their phones off and leave them in their locked lockers. A locker is not a locker if it does not have a lock! 

          Phone Policy

          Our Mobile phone policy remains as unchanged from last year. Please find the policy on SEQTA. Returning students and families are familiar with this policy but for new students please note the following:

          • All phones must be switched off as students enter the school gates.
          • All phones should be stored in locked lockers for the duration of the school day.
          • Phones can not be used at the canteen to purchase food. Students should bring cash or a physical bank card to tap.
          • Phones can be turned on and accessed at the end of the school day.
          • If students need to contact parents, they can come to the Secondary Admin area and organise this.

          We ask parents not to call or text students during the day but to call or email Secondary Admin (secondaryreception@ccas.nsw.edu.au or 43671872).

          Further Correspondence

          Year Level Information

          Stage Wellbeing and Academic Leaders will send a combined information email to all parents next week regarding important information for their specific year group. It will have information about staff who can support you and your child this year and other year-level relevant details. If you do not receive this email by the end of the first week of school, please contact Secondary Reception (secondaryreception@ccas.nsw.edu.au).

          Student Handbooks

          Mr Adam Kranz (Assistant Head of Secondary) will send a link to our Student Handbooks. It contains everything a student and parent need to know about their year. It will include policies we expect students to be familiar with and understand. He will visit each year group in the first few weeks to outline some of this information and allow students to ask questions about it.

          Secondary School Contact and Communication

          We have a team of people working at Secondary Reception. Rebecca MacDonald and Jessica Kamphuis (who will be working on Monday and Friday only) are working in our Secondary Reception area. They are both contact people for questions or concerns and will direct you to the relevant staff member or get them to contact you if needed. Their direct phone number is 4367 1872, and email address is secondaryreception@ccas.nsw.edu.au

          Please communicate all permissions for illness, lateness, campus leave and uniform passes via a phone call or email to Secondary Reception (emails are preferred as the office does get very busy at certain times and an email is considered written permission). The email address is secondaryreception@ccas.nsw.edu.au. Please note we can not allow students to leave campus without parental/guardian permission.

          Rebecca and Jessica are the staff members you email or call if:

          • Your child is late to school, or leaving school for an appointment, or leaving school early;
          • Your child is sick or not attending school;
          • Your child will not be attending school due to a holiday;
          • Your child is out of uniform. 

          Rebecca and Jessica will contact you if:

          • Your child is sick and wants to go home;
          • Your child has been marked as absent, and we have not received notification from you;
          • Your child arrives at school late without your permission (note or email received);
          Consent2go

          All off-campus permission forms are done through Consent2go. Having a correct email address for parents/guardians is essential. You will receive many permission forms over the school year. Permission will be needed by the due date for all off-campus sporting activities, excursions, and camps. We can not allow students to attend these activities without a parent/guardian completing this form before the day of the excursion, sporting event or camp.

          Uniform

          Please read the details about our school uniform requirements on our school website or via the following link Uniform Policy.

          Students will be given information from their PE teacher about what uniform they are required to wear and when throughout the school term.

          • Students wear PE uniform on Sports days
          • Students wear PE uniform for the whole day when they are doing practical PE classes
          • Students wear Dress uniform when they have no PE classes or are doing theory PE classes.
          • Senior students will wear Dress uniform most days.
