Pre-Kindergarten

At CCAS Pre-Kindergarten, children participate in a variety of play-based learning opportunities designed to develop their interests while also teaching foundational literacy and numeracy skills and knowledge.
The program runs during school hours on school days, with attendance options available from two to five days per week. It's only available for the year preceding kindergarten.

Our Pre-Kindergarten teacher is supported by two teacher assistants, as well as specialist teachers who deliver lessons in Music, Sport and Information Technology. Students also enjoy access to our campus Library each week.

Our dedicated team provide student portfolios throughout the year, in which they communicate children’s learning and evolving interests.

If extended hours of care are required, Pre-Kindergarten children are eligible to attend the Out-of-School Hours Care (OSHC) and Vacation Care programs, which are operated by the school.

By spending time on campus, children become familiar with the school environment and community, including teachers, other students, the playground, and the location of classrooms, specialist rooms and bathrooms.

To ease the transition to school, Pre-Kindergarten children also have opportunities to visit Kindergarten classrooms and meet the teachers.
